Transformation from the roots

Walk with us

Ollin Ameyalli exists because most frameworks built for women still measure them by what they produce.

We wanted a different starting point: one rooted in a feminine perspective, where self-realization and agency come first. Our programs give women the tools and the companionship they need to live from that center.

Who We Are

Our Founder

Orlanda A. Herrera

For nearly two decades, I've worked with women, creators, entrepreneurs, and immigrants who carry more than they're given language for. What I've learned, again and again, is that women already know the answers; what they need are the conditions to recognize and pursue them.

I am the creator of two original methodologies, developed across many years of practice with women in multiple countries: Yoliztli, the foundation of Ollin Ameyalli's educational programs, and Pewali, the framework behind the creative work at Inner Spark Experiences.

In 2022, I expanded this work into Kansas City, where I now lead programs serving Latina, immigrant, and diverse women. I hold a degree in Sociology, which gave structure to patterns I had been observing in practice for over a decade.

Ollin Ameyalli grew out of those years of work. It exists because the women I've walked alongside taught me that education, creativity, and economic independence aren't separate. They are a trenza, woven together, each one holding the others in place. Our programs, including GED Trailblazers, are built around that truth.

Trailblazers coordinator

Jimena Gonzalez joined Ollin Ameyalli as a student in the very first cohort of GED Trailblazers.  Today, she serves as the program's administrative coordinator, supporting the women who walk the same path she once did.

She is a generous teammate, a close and supportive presence for current students, and a constant learner, drawing from many programs and sources to find new ways to support the integration of the Hispanic community in Kansas City.

Her presence in this role is a proof of what GED Trailblazers can become for the women who walk through it.

About Us

OUR MISSION

We create spaces where women can learn, grow, and take real steps toward personal and financial independence.

We work with women from minority and immigrant backgrounds, offering education, business resources, well-being programs, and the kind of guidance that comes from people who have walked similar roads.

OUR VISION

A world where women move forward without the barriers that have historically been placed in their way. Where knowledge, connection, and opportunity are not privileges but starting points.

Where women shape their own paths and, in doing so, change the communities around them.

OUR VALUES

We believe every woman deserves access to the things that change a life:

  • Education. Not just learning, but the kind of learning that opens what was closed.
  • Leadership. Women already lead in their families and communities. Our work is to recognize that, and to give it room to grow.
  • Compassion. We hold space for women as they actually are, not as we'd like them to be.
